About Third John

Third John Healthcare is a brand name used by Third John Health Corporation, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization. The mission of Third John is to advance the systematic integration of biblical evidence (truths) with scientific evidence (facts) in the delivery of whole-person health care. As a Christian organization, we believe the Bible is the ultimate authority for living our best lives. As a collective of health professionals, we believe quality research is the ultimate guide for choosing and using healthy practices to achieve our best lives. So we decided to combine, or systematically integrate, the two and offer Bible-based healthcare like never practiced or experienced before.

OUR BASICS

Scripture: The name Third John is taken from scripture that supports whole-person care: Beloved, we want you to have a prosperous life journey that includes wellness in body [physical health], uncorrupt truth [spiritual health], and proper thoughts, emotions, and desires [psychological health]. 3 John 1:2

Philosophy:

We believe the Bible is the inerrant, infallible Word of God that provides evidence (truth) for best practices and outcomes in health and wellness.
We believe proper scientific investigation provides evidence (facts) for best practices and outcomes in health and wellness.
We believe biblical truths and scientific facts always agree and provide evidence-based practices for health and wellness.
We endeavor always to employ evidence-based practices in the delivery of health and wellness services to achieve the best outcomes for Christian men and the community of faith.

OUR UNDERSTANDING OF THE WHOLE PERSON

We believe, according to Genesis 1, that man was made in the image of God. We also believe the Father, Son, and Spirit are one (Genesis 1:1, Deuteronomy 6:4, Colossians 2:9). This biblical evidence (truth) carries two really important implications: 1) as the Father, Son, and Spirit have relationship, so too are men to have relationships; and 2) as God is three in one, so too are men three in one.

Relationship: At Third John, we endeavor to develop meaningful relationships with the men we serve that promote health and wellness in every area of life.

Three in One: Man = Spirit (theology) + Physical Body (biology) + Soul (psychology). The Third John evidence-based, whole-person model includes care for each and recognizes the significant and necessary overlap between theology, biology, and psychology.
